MSU Facilities Services Office only charges a day/half day rate for State vehicles.
Fuel purchased for State vehicles is not charged to individual accounts.
Effective Friday, March 6, 2009, automobile coverage for drivers under 21 years of old traveling out of state for Minnesota State University, Mankato has been approved. Automotive Liablity Insurance Memo (PDF)
Half day rate requires the vehicle to return by 1:30 p.m.
- Full Day rate will take effect if the sedan or minivan is used all day or after 2:00 PM
- Half Day rate will take effect if the sedan or minivan is returned prior to 1:30 p.m. Large vans will be allowed a half day rate if they are used for 4 hours or less per day
- Vehicle charges begin when state vehicle is removed from its assigned stall.
- Do not remove state vehicle from its dedicated parking stall until the actual reserved time.
Vehicle reimbursement rates effective as of January 1, 2009:
- State-owned vehicle not available 55.0 cents per mile
- State-owned vehicle available 48.0 cents per mile
A large number of our State vehicles are fueled by E-85.
- Vehicles that are E-85 have logo's affixed on the gas cap door and on the key packs as a reminder for you.
- These vehicles may use unleaded or E-85 fuel.
